Properties in Sóller - Townhouses, Apartments, Villas, Fincas, and Flats for Sale or Rent
Sóller is one of the most popular towns in the northwest of Mallorca, located about 3 km inland from the coast in the Serra de Tramuntana, in the so-called "Valley of Gold." The name comes from the Arabs, who called the valley "Sullar" due to the many orange and lemon groves. The Port de Sóller district provides direct access to the Mediterranean. In the 19th century, oranges were shipped from here to France. Many residents of Sóller went to work in France. Upon their return, they built modernist houses that still define the town's appearance today. Even now, oranges, lemons, figs, and almonds are grown in Sóller and its surroundings. The annual Orange Festival celebrates the harvest.

One of Sóller's main attractions is the parish church of Sant Bartomeu, located in the heart of Sóller on the Plaça Constitució. The impressive church was built in the 13th century and primarily served as a refuge for believers during pirate attacks, which frequently targeted Sóller due to its proximity to the sea. The church's facade was remodeled by Jean Rubió Bellver, a disciple of Gaudí, and features a large rose window and colored windows. Among the numerous street cafés on the Plaça Constitució, you will also find Sóller's stately town hall from the 17th/18th century.
